Explore the hardwood forest of the Shenandoah Valley in a thrilling new way — zipping through the treetops.
Zip through “Andy Guest” Shenandoah River State Park as of April 15, 2014
Back in 2006, I was visiting my favorite island of St. Martin for the 3rd time, and realized that I never explored the island outside of the few spots we frequented on each trip. But this time, I did my research and found out about the island’s zipline that was located at the top of the steepest mountain.
The experience was exhilarating. We got exercise without even knowing because we were having so much fun, we saw the park we were in a different way since we were literally up in the trees, and we were in nature the entire time exploring it in a unique way.
As of April 15th, 2014, you will be able to zipline through “Andy Guest” Shenandoah River State Park with Virginia Canopy Tours™ located inside the park. Virginia Canopy Tours is a refreshing experience of adventure, environment, culture, history, and wildlife.
Zipline tours are a great way to explore nature and the outdoors
You will tour for approximately 3 hours and enjoy a UTV trail ride, eight ziplines, air stairs, a sky bridge, and two nature hikes. The grand finale is an exhilarating 1000+ feet long zip with stunning views of the Massanutten Mountains followed by a 30 foot rappel. And yes it is safe. You will be accompanied by two certified eco-trained guides who handle your gear and transfers.
